Admissions Policy

Anti - Bullying Policy

Parents or carers and children will attend an initial meeting with the school admissions officer to discuss school policies and procedures. A visit to the child’s new classroom and an agreed upon start date will be agreed during the admission meeting.

At Hucklow we do our best to deal with incidents of bullying behaviour. Incidents are investigated and logged. Children in difficulty are closely monitored.

Attendance & Punctuality Policy

Behaviour Policy

To encourage all pupils to achieve their maximum potential. To recognise and reward pupils who achieve more than 96% attendance during the school year. Encourage parents/ carers to play the vital role in supporting the school and encouraging their child to reach good attendance levels.

Computing Policy

E - Safeguarding Policy

At Hucklow we believe the role of computers is as a medium for social interaction both within and eventually between schools. Computing plays an important role in the children’s lives and in society today.

E - Safeguarding encompasses Internet technologies and electronic communications such as mobile phones and wireless technology. It highlights the need to educate children and young people about the benefits and risks of using new technology.

Our equality sets out our approach to meeting the general and specific requirements of the public sector duty for our school as outlined by the Equality Act 2010.

Staff at school are trained to look after the children in their care. Staff have a duty to intervene in order to prevent pupils from hurting themselves or others. If a member of staff ever needs to intervene physically they will follow the school’s positive handling policy.

At Hucklow Primary School, all staff recognise that we have a shared responsibility to help keep children and young people safe by contributing to providing a safe environment for children to learn in and identifying children who are suffering or likely to suffer significant harm, and taking appropriate action with the aim of making sure they are kept safe both at home and school.
